Avignonesi is produced from the combined properties of four growers in the Montepulciano area of the Chianti Classico, east and slightly south of Siena. The taste is classic Tuscan. The oil is packaged in an elegant tall glass container with a stopper/pourer included with the bottle in an attractive box, which makes it great as a gift.
The oil is smooth, fruity and aromatic with a good nip of pepper at the finish. For salads? Certainly...and also lightly steamed spinach or broccoli and baked sea bass or whatever you fancy!
