Gianfranco Becchina's 1998 NASFT award winning oil repeats again with this outstanding Sicilian oil. Appealing, yellow-green color, grassy, smooth taste, unfiltered. The oil is produced at the estate of Prince Pignatelli at Castelvetrano in Sicily using the Nocellara varietal. The olives are hand-picked from the trees. An exceptional oil.
According to Deborah Krasner in "The Flavors of Olive Oil", Olio Verde is "...beautifully colored and winsome estate-grown artisanal oil from Southwestern Sicily is nutty and herbal, with complex taste nuances."
