Augusta Panettoni was started in 1945 in Milan by a master pastry chef, custodian of the traditional "Panettone Milano" recipe. Today, as then, the master bakers at Augusta are the custodians of the secret of the special leavening agent, which it mix with the best butter in Europe, exquisite candied fruits and the best quality raisins, together with other first choice ingredients, in order to gives life to this delicious 1kg Classic Panettone. The dough is left to rise naturally, then cooked slowly and carefully and allowed to cool for a full twelve hours, giving the cake its unique taste and flavour. Now crafted in Saronno, north of Milano, in Lombardia.

A holiday tradition for those who grew up in Italy or in Italian-American households. Classic with candied orange peel and raisins. 

Panettone dough rises over several days to achieve the soft yet stranded texture. This long curing of the dough, with the addition of dried or candied fruit brings forth a wonderful texture and fragrance. 

Panettone is served for dessert, often with trays laden with cookies, torrone and panforte. Some prefer it on the table at brunch. Later in the season, use the last of it for the best French Toast you have ever had. 

This panettone is moist and sweet, crafted in Italy by artisan bakers. Slice into wedges to serve. 

Ingredients: Wheat flour, candied orange, citrus, lemon peels; eggs, sultanas, butter, sugar, natural yeast, egg yolk, emulsifier, flavorings, cocoa butter, salt. May contain nuts and soy. Store in a cook dry place.
