Our friend Pietro Re made the great introduction for this olive oil, produced from 100% organic Caninese olives, the famous cultivar of the Tuscia region of central Italy.
Tuscia’s volcanic soil provides essential minerals to the fruit-bearing trees and helps form the oil's distinct characteristics.
This is a fruity selection with a medium pepper intensity. The fresh notes of artichoke and green almond transition to a well balanced bitter and spicy finish.
This is an excellent selection for field greens, especially field greens with garden herbs. We also like it with fish, creamy vegetable soups, beans and grains, red meats and pastas.
