Famiglia Orlandi Casal Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2022

On our visit to the area of Verona, we were charmed by Cristina and Carlo, the proprietors of Famiglia Orlandi, their olive oil production, and the history of their property. 

Casal is the name for farmhouse and Cristina and Carlo have crafted this from a variety of olives and dedicated the flavor profile to every day use. It is fruity with spicy fragrances and pleasant almond overtones. 

Try this with all cooking including seasonal vegetables, raw fish, and grilled meats.

A historian of the village, also the co-author of the book "Illasi", was told by the prior owners of the farmhouse that it was used as a fort for American Soldiers during World War II. Bicycles, tobacco and weapons belonging to the US soldiers were found in the cellar.
