Flos Olei 2021, The Best Extra Virgin Olive Oil Pdo/Pgi - Intense Fruity
The oil is produced by Francesco Gradassi from slightly pre-mature, hand-picked Moraiolo and Frantoio olives. The olives are from the family's groves in the areas of Campello sul Clitunno and Trevi. With the ultimate in care, they are crushed in the family's mill and carefully bottled for excellent quality.
Aroma:
Joyously fresh, herbaceous aroma, with dominant hints of artichoke and thistle.
Taste:
It has a “big” taste with balanced bitter and spicy notes and a great complexity of vegetable scents, along with mild green almond after-taste.
For the best uses: Strictly raw on legumes and vegetable soups, excellent on red meat and on prized fishes like bass and snapper. Recommended on fresh cheese where its most aromatic and vegetable component is enhanced. To appreciate its sensory characteristics we recommend it on simple dishes like plain rice and pasta with parmesan cheese slivers.
