Olive Oil from Abruzzo, Italy
The Abruzzo region of Italy is located along the east coast on the Adriatic Sea. While a number of fresh crops are popular in this area, including carrots, potatoes, spinach, peppers, tomatoes, figs, and plums, there's also a significant number of grape vineyards and olive groves. Abruzzo's main olive oil-producing areas are the Valli del Tordino e del Vomano, Valle del Tavo, Chietino, and Conca di Sulmona, most of which are located along the rugged coastline. Abruzzo olive oils tend to pair well with other popular foods from the region, such as lamb, mussels, mushrooms, and rustic soups. Our selection at Olio2go features from some of the area's best producers who create small batches of artisan olive oils.
