Bona Furtuna comes to us from Corleone, Sicily.

A modern-day “industrialist” has invested some of his fortune back into his grandmother’s land, to preserve the treasures of Sicily for generations to come. It is the mission of Bona Furtuna to produce traditional Sicilian products, to locate and propagate “almost extinct” varieties of olive trees, and do good by donating profits to charities.

Bona Furtuna's Heritage Blend is obtained from Biancolilla, Cerasuola, Giarraffa, Minuta, Moresca, Nocellara del Belice, Nocellara Etnea, Passulunara, Piricuddara, and Tonda Iblea, all nurtured with pure spring water. The flavor is softer with fruity, golden notes, and a nose of artichoke, green tomato, and almonds. It is persistent, and balanced. A favorite on pasta, leafy green salads, fresh tuna, and freshly baked bread. 

As a member of 1% for the Planet, they have pledged to contribute 1% of all sales to the preservation and restoration of the environment. They’re also active in the local community around their farm in Corleone, Sicily.
