description

New from Sicily. 100% Organic, estate grown, with a great story!

Bona Furtuna comes to us from Corleone, Sicily.

A modern-day “industrialist” has invested some of his fortune back into his grandmother’s land, to preserve the treasures of Sicily for generations to come. It is the mission of Bona Furtuna to produce traditional Sicilian products, to locate and propagate “almost extinct” varieties of olive trees, and do good by donating profits to charities.

This bold and beautiful extra virgin olive oil greets you with the fiery essence of young, healthy olives and opens on your palate with flavors of tomato leaf, freshly cut green grass, and rich earthy soil, leaving you with a hint of white pepper in your throat and a refreshing emboldened state of mind. Experience the strength, endurance and vitality of Sicilian terroir within the sun-ripened skins of our olives.

Pressed from the strongest, most potent olives -- Biancolilla Centinaria, Tonda Iblea, and Cerasuola-- the Forte Blend will reinvigorate your senses and reveal to you the powerful punch harnessed within these heirloom fruits. From the first whiff of pepper to the burst of grass and soil on your lips, experience the strength, endurance and vitality of Sicilian terroir within the sun-ripened skins of our olives.

Pair with hearty rye bread, tomatoes off the vine, waygu tartare, or grilled ribeye steak.

As a member of 1% for the Planet, they have pledged to contribute 1% of all sales to the preservation and restoration of the environment. They’re also active in the local community around their farm in Corleone, Sicily.
